Our time line to our foster care license:
January 5th 2011, We were called and asked if we would like to foster Alex's brother and sister.1-19-2011, Orientation at our house.
1-25-2011, Fingerprints done.
February 3rd 2011, House meeting with our social worker.
2-10-11, Handed in large packet of information.
2-17-11, Second House meeting with the social worker.
2-18-11, Found out in court that birth father seems to be on track to get Alex's siblings. We decide to move forward for an infant-2 year old. Still open to adopting Alex's siblings if it comes to that.
2-19-11, PRIDE and CPI training (9-5)
2-21-11, Got dogs all up to date on shots
2-22-11, PRIDE training (6-9), plus we got all 3 of our medicals done, and my local back ground check.
2-24-11, PRIDE training (6-9) plus Joe's local background check.
2-26-11, CPI training (1-4)
2-28-11, handed in more paperwork.
March, 4th 2011, Last home visit, and handed in last packet of information. Found out we may be right on track to have Alex's siblings in the next few weeks.
3-7-11, Our report is done. (now it gets proof read, fixed (if needed), and mailed in)
3-8-11, Our last PRIDE training (6-9)
3-11-11, Our report is finalized, and sent to the state.
3-16-11, We got a copy of our report in the mail. Our life fits into 33 pages!
3-22-11, WE ARE LICENSED FOR FOSTER CARE!
April, 19th 2001, We get a call at noon to come pick up "Big boy", and "Princess". I had them in our home by 4!
