6 weeks or 1 month 1 week and 5 days?

I had planned to count our wait by weeks. From Thursday to Thursday, but the counter at the top of my page counts it a little different. So, according to me, we have been waiting 6 weeks. According to the counter it's been 1 month 1 week and 5 days. Either way, we are still waiting!

After last weeks post, I did end up calling our social worker. I left her a voicemail, and got a voicemail back the next day. She said that we had not been forgotten. They are short staffed right now, so she has been working on cases that need to be handled now. But she did say that if a match came in we would still be considered, even without a completed homestudy. A friend of ours reminded me that after 1 year of waiting you have to renew your homestudy, so maybe it's not such a bad thing that ours has not been done yet. I would like to have it done, but at the same time I do not want to have to renew it after a year.

Speaking of renewing it. I was throwing an idea around in my head last night when I could not sleep. I was wondering if we could adopt two babies from one homestudy. I know that the family that came to speak to us at our class had gotten two babies that are only 10 months apart. I am not sure if they had to renew or redo their homestudy, before they got the second baby. Joe really wants to have two kids back to back. I like this idea at times.

As far as the waiting part goes, I have found yet another way to keep busy. Joe is getting me a cri.cut for my birthday! For those of you who do not know what that is, you are missing out! It is for scrapbooking, card making, and crafting. I can not wait to get it, and get started. It should keep me very busy, and it should help me to catch up on all my scrapbooking. I can't wait!

On top of that, I will be returning to school in the fall. At least that is the plan! I will be making a trip out to my school in the next week to see what I need to do to get back in for the fall. I will keep you posted!
